Wolfe County Search and Rescue Team Busy Holiday Weekend

THE SEARCH AND RESCUE TEAM IN WOLFE COUNTY HAD A BUSY HOLIDAY WEEKEND…CONDUCTING A NUMBER OF RESCUE OPERATIONS…INCLUDING ONE SATURDAY WHERE A WOMAN WAS HUNG UP IN A RAPPELLING DEVICE OFF THE 180-FOOT HEAD CLIFF LINE IN MENIFEE COUNTY. ON ANOTHER CALL, A 25-YEAR-OLD WOMAN INJURED HER ANKLE ON THE SUSPENSION BRIDGE TRAIL. ANOTHER 18-YEAR-OLD WOMAN GOT SEPARATED FROM HER GROUP WHILE HIKING AND WASN’T FOUND UNTIL AROUND 1 O’CLOCK SUNDAY MORNING.
