Pikeville Officials Concerned Over Potential Hotel Sale To UPike

The potential sale of Pikeville’s Hilton Garden Inn to the University of Pikeville for conversion to student housing got the attention of city officials who say the sale will impact tourism building efforts by further reducing available hotel rooms. That limits the number of large events that could be hosted in the area. University officials are not confirming a deal is in place to purchase the hotel.
