Knox County Man Arrested for Attempted Burglary

A KNOX COUNTY MAN IS ACCUSED OF TRYING TO BREAK INTO A HOUSE FRIDAY NIGHT. DEPUTIES WERE CALLED TO A HOME ON NORTH HIGHWAY. WHEN THEY ARRIVED, WITNESSES SAID 34-YEAR-OLD TIP MILLER TRIED TO BREAK IN. THEY TRACKED HIM AND HELD HIM ON HIGHWAY 1304 UNTIL DEPUTIES GOT TO THE SCENE. ONCE ONE DID, THERE WAS A STRUGGLE AND MILLER GOT AWAY. HE WAS LATER FOUND HIDING IN A CREEK. HE WAS EVENTUALLY TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AND CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, FLEEING, DUI, ASSAULT ON A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, AND OTHER TRAFFIC OFFENSES. HE WAS BOOKED INTO THE KNOX COUNTY DETENTION CENTER.
