Distributing COVID-19 Relief Funds

Lexington officials received a 151-page document this week detailing how they can spend the money for COVID-19 relief.Lexington will receive about $121 million from the American Rescue Plan.Mayor Linda Gorton’s chief of staff, Tyler Scott, says the money will be disbursed in two payments. According to the U.S. Department of Treasury, the money can assist households, small businesses, nonprofits, and industries impacted by COVID-19.Funds can go towards essential workers, government servicees and even broadband improvements.
