Corbin Auction House Employees Catch Thief Red-Handed

Employees of a Corbin auction house are being credited with catching a thief.

Police say Wednesday morning, a man was spotted loading a number of items into a company-branded vehicle.

Once the truck left, employees then followed the driver to a home on North Florence Street in Corbin, where they spotted Michael C. Smith unloading the stolen items onto the front porch.

He’s now charged with theft by lawful taking and burglary.
