A MAN LED LAW ENFORCEMENT ON A CHASE THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH CLAY COUNTY IN A STOLEN PICKUP TRUCK THAT ENDED IN FISTICUFFS…AND ULTIMATELY WITH HIM IN CUFFS. IT STARTED AS A STOLEN VEHICLE INVESTIGATION. ONCE OFFICERS SPOTTED THE VEHICLE IN QUESTION IN MANCHESTER, THE DRIVER TRIED TO FLEE…LEADING BOTH POLICE AND CLAY COUNTY DEPUTIES ON A HIGH SPEED CHASE THAT CAME TO AN END ON HIGHWAY 421. INVESTIGATORS SAY THE SUSPECT STRUGGLED WITH OFFICERS AS THEY TOOK HIM INTO CUSTODY. 21-YEAR-OLD PAUL DAY IS CHARGED WITH THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING, RESISTING ARREST, FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, WANTON ENDANGERMENT, AND DUI.
